| Getting depressed about this whole thing and starting to affect may marriage, anyone else having this? |

I've been unemployed since Jan. I have not had one interview or even any response to my emails. It's very disconcerting. I recently received and email from the Whitehouse asking Americans to volunteer. When you have bills coming in and no hope for finding employment, volunteering is not an option. You are right, it is very depressing and I am very angry. I feel like I'm the only one unemployed and no one get's it. I joined a church group that was created to help those dealing with unemployment and it was a great support group but it ended and I am feeling very lost. I live with my significant other and it is hard as
I am having many emotions and none are positive.
People do need to voice their opinion to the government and to their communities. I posted a link to the White House above. I urge you to voice your concern and hang in there!

I understand as I was laid off for a month, but did get unemployment as the boss laid off lots of people. He ended up getting fired himself as he didn't come into work but just here and there. The power went to his head, but all they did was hire more people and probably will fire them at the drop of a hat.
I had to take a very low paying job that I wonder about also. That seems to be the only thing available now. It is the pits, but at least I'm working. |

I'm very sorry to learn of your layoffs, and understand from personal experiences, the pain, doubt, fear and discouragement you're feeling. It was during two layoffs - each lasting two years - all as a single mother, that I learned how to find joy, passion, peace and purpose IN SPITE OF my circumstances. Everything I learned is available in my book, "HELP for the LAID OFF", which teaches people how to dig their heels in and get the most out of this season of their lives.
Whatever you do ... do NOT quit, do NOT give up. You can live a joyful, abundant life even during a layoff! |
